Luke was educated at the University of Newcastle, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (majoring in Financial Accounting). Having been born and raised in the Hunter, his advisory and business acumen began to develop through a number of management roles in local licensed premises. This provided a great insight into the key drivers of business, the challenges and most importantly the pitfalls. In 2008, he moved from the commercial world into a number of local advisory firms, completing post graduate qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and attaining an advanced diploma in financial services. Subsequently he had the great opportunity to open the Newcastle office with long time friend, Brad Ferguson in order to offer a holistic approach to financial services advisory.

Founder and Chair, Loyal Foundation (a charitable organisation that fundraises and donates all monies to children's health charities), since 2009.

Owner, Perpetual Loyal, (a competitor in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race), 2009-2016. (Winner of the race in 2011 and 2016).

Patron, Australian Sailing Team, Since 2016.

Owner and Managing Director, Bell Partners accounting firm since 1997.
