Extensive Global Experience Tax and Accounting

Matthew has been a Chartered Accountant for over 25 years and has extensive global experience in various compliance roles in taxation, investment banking, commercial property and Government advisory services.

He has worked as an advisor throughout the world including for clients in the UK, Germany, Russia, USA and NZ. In 2003, he returned to Sydney and opened his own advisory practice servicing clients from sole traders in the building industry, to national property syndication groups, to family farming operations and the Australian and New Zealand Federal governments.

Now living between Tamworth and Newcastle, Matthew looks after our Hunter New England offices. He is also a member of the Regional Advisory Council for BusinessNSW – New England North West region and is a past president of the Tamworth Chamber of Commerce. He has a passion for educating his clients on business operations and strategies and has authored a book the matter.

Founder and Chair, Loyal Foundation (a charitable organisation that fundraises and donates all monies to children's health charities), since 2009.

Owner, Perpetual Loyal, (a competitor in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race), 2009-2016. (Winner of the race in 2011 and 2016).

Patron, Australian Sailing Team, Since 2016.

Owner and Managing Director, Bell Partners accounting firm since 1997.
