On leaving school at the end of 1991, Peter immediately commenced work with PriceWaterhouse Coopers Legal (formerly Dunhill Madden Butler), completing his legal studies part-time whilst he worked his way up from the mail room through the accounts and legal registration departments, before working as a paralegal focussed on insurance law. On graduating and obtaining his legal practicing certificate in 1998, he was accepted into the PriceWaterhouse Coopers Legal graduate solicitor rotation program, initially in the banking and finance area, before settling in to focus almost exclusively on employment and industrial law. After ten excellent years at PriceWaterhouse, Peter moved on and spent six years with Kemp Strang as a senior associate and then Meridian Lawyers for another four or so years where he held the role of principal and head of employment and industrial law. In 2012, a valued client, mentor and friend in Anthony Bell persuaded him to establish Bell Partners Legal.

Founder and Chair, Loyal Foundation (a charitable organisation that fundraises and donates all monies to children's health charities), since 2009.

Owner, Perpetual Loyal, (a competitor in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race), 2009-2016. (Winner of the race in 2011 and 2016).

Patron, Australian Sailing Team, Since 2016.

Owner and Managing Director, Bell Partners accounting firm since 1997.
